I am a Lecturer in the department of Sociology at Columbia University, working on a book about institutional disaster risk management in New York City. My research interests sit at the intersection of organizations, cities, the environment, and the sociology of science, knowledge and technology.
I recently finished co-directing a team of researchers constructing a multi-modal archive of New York City’s experience with the Covid-19 pandemic. More information about the project is available here. My work with the project was profiled in The New York Times Magazine, which you can read here.
